In­no­va­tion strat­egy

Based on mar­ket and tech­no­log­i­cal trends, the in­no­va­tion strat­egy de­ter­mines the fo­cus of in­no­va­tion ac­tiv­i­ties at GG.
It de­fines the con­tent that fu­ture in­no­va­tions fo­cus on based on the se­lected fields of in­no­va­tion. The in­no­va­tion strat­egy also en­sures a con­sis­tent port­fo­lio man­age­ment ap­proach. The goal is to have a bal­anced al­lo­ca­tion of in­no­va­tion re­sources to small and large, in­cre­men­tal and break­through in­no­va­tions.

 
Hence, we are com­mit­ted to both strength­en­ing our ex­ist­ing com­pe­tences and ex­plore ground-break­ing tech­nolo­gies and emerg­ing ap­pli­ca­tions.
 

In­no­va­tion process

Since in­no­va­tions are more than just ideas, the cre­ative spirit must be sup­ported by a sys­tem­atic and flex­i­ble process. At GG, we sup­port all in­no­va­tions from their con­cep­tion to their fi­nal im­ple­men­ta­tion in three stages.
In the first dis­cov­ery phase, op­por­tu­ni­ties are iden­ti­fied, eval­u­ated, and pri­or­i­tized. Then the ap­proved in­no­va­tion pro­jects en­ter an in­cu­ba­tion phase in which tech­ni­cal and mar­ket-re­lated re­quire­ments are as­sessed up to the mar­ket readi­ness. The ac­cel­er­a­tion stage is the fi­nal step in which the in­dus­tri­al­iza­tion and mar­ket dif­fu­sion are pro­moted. 
This way, we en­sure a bal­anced and strat­egy-based in­no­va­tion pipeline.
